Terms, notices, and operational disclaimers for WhatTheFreq.

Effective June 27, 2026

The short version

WhatTheFreq is designed to support quick reference workflows, but it is not a substitute for current official sources, professional judgment, or required operating procedures.

Reference use only

WhatTheFreq is provided for informational, reference, planning, and note-taking purposes only. It is not intended to serve as primary navigation equipment, a sole-source operational tool, or a replacement for current official aeronautical information.

Verify with official sources

Users are responsible for independently verifying frequencies, weather, runway information, NOTAMs, procedures, airport data, and any other operational information with current official sources before relying on that information. Official procedures, published charts, regulatory guidance, and live operational instructions always control.

Data may be delayed or incomplete

Information displayed by WhatTheFreq may be delayed, stale, unavailable, incomplete, incorrectly formatted, or contain errors caused by third-party data issues, network failures, caching, synchronization timing, software defects, device problems, or upstream source changes.

No warranty

WhatTheFreq is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.

User responsibility

You are solely responsible for your own decisions, actions, and use of any information provided by the app. You agree not to rely on WhatTheFreq as your sole basis for safety, navigation, flight planning, operational control, dispatch, medical, legal, financial, or other consequential decisions.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Bitt-Labs LLC is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, business, profits, opportunity, or goodwill, arising from or related to the use of or inability to use WhatTheFreq, even if advised that such damages were possible.

Third-party data and services

WhatTheFreq may display or process information derived from third-party or public sources. Those sources remain responsible for their own data and publication practices. Use of those sources within WhatTheFreq does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, certification, or affiliation unless explicitly stated.
